In Link's Awakening, Bombs can be obtained by defeating enemies, lifting certain objects such as Jar, grabbing them as Winged Items, or by purchasing some at the Town Tool Shop. Bombs can be used to damage certain enemies or destroy cracked walls and certain objects. Once used, Link can pick up Bombs to reset their detonation time, thus preventing them from exploding until thrown again. Link cannot be hurt by his own Bombs, but he can be damaged by Bombs used by enemies. In addition, there are Bomb-like enemies known as Bombites. If Link equips and uses both a Bombs and the Bow at the same time, he can fire a Bomb Arrow.
